As you step through the front gate of Rivendell Guest House, you can't help but be impressed by the well maintained and private gardens behind the manicured front hedge as you are drawn to the north facing, wide covered verandah and the formal front door, leading to the entry hall.
Either side of the entry hall we find 2 large (5 x 4.5m) queen size bedrooms, each with ensuite bathroom and French doors to the covered verandahs, and each with their own tables and chairs in which to relax and enjoy.
Continue on to the friendly formal living room with slow combustion log fire, more French doors and plenty of comfy lounge seating for yourself and/or guests to relax with a drink and a good book from the wide selection available.

The dining room adjoins the living room and is the perfect place to serve up and enjoy a healthy breakfast before you go about your day in beautiful Bellingen. Continuing from here, we find yet another large bedroom with 2 x king single beds, French doors to covered verandahs, private table and chairs, and a private, separate bathroom with shower, timber vanity and dual flush toilet.
Now we move into the manager's accommodation area, where the kitchen offers loads of room (6 x 3.5m) with plenty of bench, cupboard and drawer space, 2 x electric stainless steel ovens, induction cook top and stainless steel dishwasher, together with double stainless steel sink. It is certainly an ideal entertainers kitchen to provide for private or paying guests.
There's also a private open plan living and dining area adjoining the kitchen, that enjoys large bi-fold glass doors to a private courtyard area. From this living/dining area, you can access the bathroom and laundry area or proceed upstairs to find the 5th (managers) bedroom.
Outside now, we find the beautifully, landscaped and private saltwater pool, together with covered outdoor dining area and large covered entertainment area, that can also be used as covered car parking x 2.
Speaking of parking, there's off street rear lane, guest parking for 5 cars plus an oversized, single lock up garage with remote control door. All the gardens are very well established and maintained and this classic property welcomes you into the bosom of Bellingen.
Bellingen, of course, is well known for its excellent cafes and boutique shopping, festivals, art and craft, music, local organic produce and much more. The town is picturesque, friendly and vibrant and now well and truly on the tourist trail, which provides consistent business for the B&B, as well as support for all the other great things that Bellingen has to offer.
Don't forget the great beaches just 20-25 minutes drive to the east and the World Heritage National Park and Rainforest Centre just 30 minutes drive west in Dorrigo.
